You can delete your YOM account and personal data at any time. Here's exactly how — and what happens to your data.
You can remove your account directly from YOM:
Your account is closed straight away and your sign-in stops working immediately.
If you can't access the app, email us from the phone number or email on your account at privacy@helloyom.com with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm a detail so we can be sure the request is really yours, then we delete your account for you.
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data linked to it, including:
We keep only the minimum the law requires — for example basic records of completed jobs needed for accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, and fraud-prevention purposes. We keep this for only as long as the law requires, then delete it or make it anonymous. Payment on YOM is in cash after the job, so there are no cards and no online-payment data stored.
Your account is closed immediately. Any remaining personal data is fully deleted within 30 days, except the limited records we are legally required to keep for the periods described above.
